Grants

The Fledgling Fund is a small private foundation founded in 2005 to improve the lives of vulnerable populations. We provide emerging and mission driven non-profit organizations with grants of up to $250,000.

Bandwidth grants

Bandwidth grants allow organizations to pilot new initiatives that fall outside of the scope of their current operating budget.

  • Legal Aid of Palm Beach County. Add a renewal mechanism to a Community ID program.
  • Healthy Mother's Healthy Babies. New program designed to support vulnerable mothers during the fourth trimester.
  • Arc of the Glades. Saturday childcare for parents with children with disabilities.
  • The Lord's Place. Randomized control trials to find out which type of diversion services have the greatest impact on homelessness.
  • Adopt A Family. Create a new initiative to leverage local volunteers for existing programs.
  • Families First. Add mental health services for 2-5 year olds in the Head Start program.

General operating grants

On a case-by-case basis we provide general operating support and support to organizations outside of our geographic focus.

  • Everglades Foundation. Restore the Everglades through science, advocacy and education.
  • United Way. Raise funds for local charitable and philanthropic organizations.
